A colonial women's life was like every woman's life from the dawn of time. Women were not yet fighting for their rights and were being pushed down by their husbands. Their only job in life was to work for their husbands. The husbands kept their wives from even thinking about civil rights, and at this point, it was unheard of to have a divorce because society would forever look down upon them.
Colonial women had very bad lives because they had to constantly do the hard jobs at home. This ranged from cooking for the whole family and also taking care of all the children. Women also had to keep the house nice and clean for their husbands because they were “too busy” to do anything at home. Colonial women usually received very little or no education and were just taught by their mothers on how to do their jobs. Overall, being a Colonial Women was a very sad thing because you worked extremely hard but got no recognition.
